The Student Emergency Fund
Å·²©ÓÎÏ·¹ÙÍø’s students are resilient, resourceful and innovative. However, given the unprecedented challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic, students who had planned out their budgets for the semester are now dealing with unexpected circumstances such as loss of wages or off-campus jobs due to business shutdown, costs to pivot to online learning for the remainder of the semester, traveling home unexpectedly and more. The Student Emergency Fund is being deployed to provide financial assistance to support students in crisis.
The Leader Fund
Our cornerstone fund provides the NEIU Foundation with the ability to capitalize on opportunities, to foster excellence in its operations and to meet unanticipated needs throughout the year. Through this fund, students are supported as they present their research around the country and world, faculty are provided additional resources for their scholarly work, and classrooms are enhanced with new technology and learning resources. ENDOWMENTS
An endowment is a sizable fund of money invested by the NEIU Foundation to produce interest income. The principal investment remains untouched, while the annual interest earned supports a variety of purposes, including student scholarships, faculty support and University-wide programs and activities. Another way to support students: If you have an IRA, 401(k) or life insurance policy, you can use FreeWill to of these assets.
