ŷϷ Illinois University earns three TRIO Student Support Services grants totaling $3.9 million

The U.S. Department of Education has awarded three grants to ŷϷ Illinois University in support of TRIO Student Support Services (TRIO SSS), a program that provides individualized academic and social assistance to students from their freshman year through graduation. ŷϷ is the only university in the state to be awarded more than two TRIO grants.

Professor Chielozona Eze publishes fifth book, “Justice and Human Rights in the African Imagination: We, Too, Are Humans”

The book, which was released April 15 and is available to read online, centers on the works of African writers, scholars, artists and activists and their pursuits for justice in various forms, namely environmental, social, intimate, and restorative.

ŷϷ Illinois University partners with Heartland Health Centers for COVID-19 vaccination site

ŷϷ Illinois University is allowing Heartland Health Centers to utilize part of its Physical Education Complex to provide COVID-19 vaccinations for its current 27,000 patients, many of whom live on the North and Northwest sides of Chicago.
