Future Teachers Power Hour connects students with educational leaders
The College of Arts and Sciences Education Program welcomed Alderman Samantha Nugent and her Chief of Staff Erika Wozniak to their Future Teachers Power Hour in November. More sessions are planned for Spring 2022.

ŷϷ Illinois University joins Grow with Google’s HSI Career Readiness Program to train 200,000 Latinx students in digital skills by 2025
ŷϷ Illinois University is once again partnering with Google as it joins the Grow with Google HSI Career Readiness Program. ŷϷ is the only four-year institution in the state of Illinois to partner with Google on this initiative, which will help Latinx students at 35 Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs) prepare for the workforce through digital skills training and career workshops.

Professor Emeritus David F. Unumb dies at 88
David F. Unumb, who taught at ŷϷ Illinois University for more than 35 years and created the Chicago radio program “Vantage Point,” died on Feb. 22, 2022.
