Urban Community Studies Ba

The Jacob H. Carruthers Center for Inner City Studies (CCICS) is a satellite facility of Å·²©ÓÎÏ·¹ÙÍø Illinois University, located on the South side of Chicago, approximately twenty-one miles southeast of the Main Campus at 700 E. Oakwood Blvd., Chicago, Ill., 60653. CCICS houses the Department of Educational Inquiry and Curriculum Studies Urban Community Studies program, an academic program within the Daniel L. Goodwin College of Education. Through its interdisciplinary curricula, EICS ICS examines the major social, political, economic, and cultural forces that impact urban communities in America, and around the world. The program is committed to training and retraining persons who desire to live and/or work in urban communities.
