Summer classes began at ŷ����Ϸ���� Illinois University this week, but before we slip on our flip-flops and sunglasses, we’re taking a look back at the Spring 2022 term. William C. “Doc” Speller, who served as the founder and coordinator of Project Success for more than 40 years, died on Jan. 12. He was 91 years old. A memorial service will be held from 11 a.m-1 p.m., Saturday, May 28, at the Jacob H. Carruthers Center for Inner City Studies, 700 E. Oakwood Blvd. in Chicago, Illinois.

Chicago-based award-winning architect Juan Gabriel Moreno will be ŷ����Ϸ���� Illinois University’s May 2022 Commencement speaker.

For the seventh consecutive year, ŷ����Ϸ���� Illinois University has received a Tree Campus USA recognition from the Arbor Day Foundation.
