ŷ����Ϸ���� Illinois University has joined the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA), a collection of more than 2,100 colleges and universities committed to expanding students’ access to educational opportunities by providing more efficient, consistent and effective regulation of online learning programs. Joining SARA is voluntary, and participating institutions agree to follow the Interregional Guidelines for the Evaluation of Distance Education Programs for best practices in postsecondary distance education.

The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation has awarded an $873,000 grant to the Prison + Neighborhood Arts/Education Project (P+NAP). The ŷ����Ϸ���� Illinois University  Foundation will serve as the fiscal sponsor for the grant, which will be distributed over the next two years. 

The Illinois State Historical Records Advisory Board Historical Records Grant Program has awarded ŷ����Ϸ���� Illinois University a $5,000 grant to digitize the archives of former Illinois Congressman and ŷ����Ϸ���� alumnus Luis Gutiérrez. The award is the highest amount a project can receive.
