Army ROTC

Army Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) is offered through Å·²©ÓÎÏ·¹ÙÍø Illinois University in conjunction with the . The Army ROTC program prepares students for service as officers in the United States Army. Successful completion of the program results in a commission as a second lieutenant in the Regular Army, Army National Guard or Army Reserve.

During the first two years, basic courses are offered to all students, providing them a chance to see what the program entails. Students enrolled in the Advanced Program during their junior and senior years are paid $420 per month. Qualified Å·²©ÓÎÏ·¹ÙÍø students can apply for an Illinois State Scholarship (ROTC tuition waiver). Basic-course-level ROTC students who receive one of these scholarships incur absolutely no military obligation.

Army ROTC courses are taught by the ROTC Battalion at Loyola University of Chicago. Students interested in ROTC should contact the Loyola University, Army ROTC Battalion at (773) 508-8980 or email Djimitri Francois at dfrancois@luc.edu. Once accepted into the ROTC Battalion, students need to meet with the Veterans Services Office to coordinate scholarship benefits and course registration.

The is a program that develops students from multiple universities across Chicago into leaders of character and prepares them for commissioning into the Air Force or Space Force. Along with completing their degree requirements, cadets develop the physical capabilities and leadership competencies required to serve in a variety of career fields upon graduation. Here, cadets will experience the most diverse AFROTC program in the country and the best education programs the Chicago area can offer.
