The Star Scholarship Partnership is a scholarship program rewarding academic achievement. Å·²©ÓÎÏ·¹ÙÍø is a partner institution in the Chicago Star Partnership and offers our Star Scholarship to those students who qualify.

Star Scholarship Eligibility

To be eligible for the Star Scholarship you need to:

• Be a Star Scholarship award winner enrolled at City Colleges of Chicago (CCC)
• Submit the Star Scholarship Application to NEIU before the deadline:
  • Summer Deadline: April 1
  • Fall deadline: July 15
  • Spring Deadline: Dec. 1
• Complete an Associates in Arts (A.A.) or Associates in Science (A.S.) Degree at CCC prior to starting at Å·²©ÓÎÏ·¹ÙÍø with at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA
• Complete 30 semester hours per year at Å·²©ÓÎÏ·¹ÙÍø
• Declare a major at Å·²©ÓÎÏ·¹ÙÍø
• Maintain a 3.0 GPA at Å·²©ÓÎÏ·¹ÙÍø to be considered for renewal
• Students must apply and be awarded the Star Scholarship their first semester in attendance at NEIU. They cannot attend NEIU and then apply for  the scholarship in subsequent semesters.

Apply for the Star Scholarship when you are ready to apply for admission to Å·²©ÓÎÏ·¹ÙÍø.

Star Scholarship Application

The first thing to do is apply for admission. Once we have your admission application we can attach the Star Scholarship application. From there send your official transcripts to us. When those are received you are processed for admission. Once you are admitted you will have further discussions with the degree program adviser for the program you are applying for. When you have done that you will know the courses to register for. Once you have registered for all your courses the Star Scholarship will be awarded.
